Steam trains travel over highly scenic former Devner & Rio Grande Western narrow-gauge trackage. The 64-mile line crosses Cumbres Pass (10,015 foot elevation) and goes through the spectacular Toltec Gorge. It crosses several high bridges, and passes through several tunnels. Passengers may choose to ride either the Colorado Limited from Antonio to Osier, Colorado via the Toltec Gorge or the New Mexico Express from Chama, New Mexico to Osier via Cumbres Pass. Passengers may also select to ride the complete length of the line, starting at either location with bus service return to the starting point. The two trains meet in Osier for a lunch stop and to exchange locomotives for the return trip.

The line is operated on a daily schedule from late May to mid-October.
